Hello world indeed! This is a blog about exploring the nearer rather than the further afield. To keeping the eyes open and peeled to the abundance about.
So, with this in mind I thought it fitting to set sail with the small flotilla of fishing boats in Leigh Woods by local artist Luke Jerram. The exhibition raises comment on various aspects of climate change and the repercussions of humanity and mass consumption.
Woodland sounds of gently rustling leaves echo those of the sea tide and make for a most soothing back drop. Of course the forest floor provides a much sturdier base for sitting so I was able to while away a few hours sketching without any worry they’d wander away!
